Why does my apartment gate keep breaking down?

Because a multi-tenant gate can cycle a hundred times a day or more, wearing the rollers, chain, rack, and motor far faster than a home gate, and an operator sized for light use burns out under that load. HeroTec sizes operators to the real cycle load and maintains high-cycle gates on a schedule that matches the wear across Los Angeles.

How often should a commercial sliding gate be maintained?

More often than a home gate, often quarterly for the busiest multi-tenant gates versus a longer interval for lighter use. Frequent maintenance clears the track, adjusts the chain and rack, inspects rollers, and services the operator before constant wear causes a breakdown. HeroTec sets the schedule to a gate's real cycle load.

What operator does a high-cycle gate need?

A higher cycle-rated operator built for constant use, since a residential-grade motor fails fast under commercial cycling. Matching the operator to the real workload is one of the most important parts of keeping a busy gate running. HeroTec sizes operators to the actual cycle load on commercial and multi-tenant gates in Los Angeles.
